Piotr Godlewski

I am a national and European qualified patent attorney with a track record of more than 120 patent applications filed before the European Patent Office and about 200 applications filed with the Polish Patent Office. I am a biotechnologist by education, and for the past 15 years my daily practice has been operating in the broadly defined area of Life Science. 

Both in my private and professional life, I am guided by simple principles: knowledge, efficiency, matter-of-factness, time-saving and, above all, respect for the other person. These values accompany me in my daily work, when I support both entrepreneurs and scientists in discovering the meanders of industrial property law in the area of patents. 

During my career, I have been active on behalf of major players in the pharmaceutical industry and have participated in litigation and court proceedings for companies in this sector. Cooperation with small and medium-sized entrepreneurs and many years of practice in providing services to research institutes and universities, as well as interaction with foreign law firms have enriched my knowledge and skills, which allows me to face the most difficult challenges in my work with full responsibility.

I participate in the filing of Polish, international and European patent applications, conduct litigation and court proceedings, file applications for supplementary protection certificate, prepare oppositions before the European Patent Office, conduct patent searches, prepare opinions and participate in the creation of the patent portfolio. Thanks to my qualifications to represent before the Unified Patent Court, I am able to comprehensively and effectively guide clients through every stage of the proceedings – from the application to the substantive battle in the courtroom in the event of invalidation or infringement of the patent.

During trainings, lectures or webinars I am happy to share my knowledge in the field of intellectual property. I have many years of experience in this field. Exploring the world of patents before someone gives me great pleasure, and enriches my listeners with specialized knowledge based on extensive practice.
